 Creative Catalyst Studio was founded by Marion Corbin Mayer on September 11, 2001. It has always been a place for creativity to grow and thrive in Cincinnati. As of July 1, 2019, Jacqueline Sullivan & Nancy G. Turner have joined on as partners in this venture. Scroll down for more information!

Marion Corbin-Mayer
Director of Communication

Marion Corbin-Mayer loves to help people connect with their passion, joy and best possible outcomes.   

As founder of Creative Catalyst Studio she has helped hundreds of people in the Cincinnati area reconnect with their creativity through personal growth classes and art technique workshops.

Marion loves to paint Pet Portraits, Landscapes and other juicy paintings. She offers classes in Oil Painting, "Watercolor for the Truly Terrified" & Open Painting Studio at Creative Catalysts.

Marion is a signature member of the Cincinnati Art Club. She has a Bachelors of Fine Arts (Advertising) from Columbus College of Art & Design and a Masters of Art Therapy from Wright State University.  

Since graduating she has taken many workshops with nationally known artists to increase her painting skills. Marion has also traveled both nationally & internationally (France & Italy) to paint plein air.  Her work is in corporate and private collections & may be seen several time a year during the Essex Studios Art Walks.

Jacqueline Sullivan
 Director of Education

Jacqueline Sullivan is a mixed media, acrylic, book and calligraphic artist. She is well known for her pieces that experiment with texture, layers, paint, unusual materials, calligraphic marks and words.

Jacqueline's work has been shown nationwide in galleries and juried art fairs. She has a degree in graphic design and worked for many years as a publication and advertising designer. For over 30 years, Jacqueline has also been a teaching artist. She has taught workshops and week long classes for art retreats and art and calligraphy guilds worldwide.

​She has also served as faculty for several International Calligraphy Conferences.

Jacqueline has published technique articles in Somerset Studio,  Cloth Paper Scissors,and  Pages Magazines.  Jacqueline has a best-selling DVD - Acrylics: Textures, Layers, and Metallics - published by Creative Catalyst Productions. Her work has been published in “The Best of Acrylics” # 6 & 7 published by Northlight books. Jacqueline is one of a handful of artists  to become a Golden Certified Artist Educator for Golden Paint Company.

Nancy G. Turner
​Director of Fiber Arts & Printmaking

Nancy G. Turner took printing in high school Shop class when she couldn’t get into the Graphic Arts class and has loved printmaking ever since. She hand prints fabrics using silk screen and block printing processes. Nancy designs her own patterns to print on thrifted textiles that she sews them into household and personal accessories. She also designs and prints fun motifs on towels. 

Nancy teaches beginner silk screen printing classes at Tiger Lily Press in Cincinnati and block printing on fabric at the Cincinnati Weaver’s Guild.

Nancy has a B.A. in English Literature with a minor in Graphics and worked for 20 years in corporate publications. She also has a MASM in counseling. She is an ordained United Methodist clergy person, appointed to ministry in spiritual arts and advocating for chronically ill children.
